STATEMENT OF INTENT
I love the fragility and translucent beauty of flowers, whether they are in bud, full bloom or dying.

After trying out various techniques, I found the best method to show this was to actually use a flatbed scanner with a photo hood attachment as a digital camera. I also discovered that bulbous type flowere were the best subjects for showing their delicate veining structure, though there were a few exceptions.

It was interesting to see that even dying flowers had a delicate and translucent beauty of their own.
